Tugboat Beach (Caracas Bay)
Tugboat Beach in Caracas Bay is home to one of Curaçao's most beginner-friendly underwater attractions: a small tugboat sunk in shallow water, now encrusted with coral and circled by fish.
About 20 minutes from Willemstad, the little beach gives easy access to the wreck, which sits only a few metres down — close enough to enjoy with a snorkel and mask. A reef wall nearby adds to the dive. There is a small bar and dive operation. It is busy with tours midday, so go early.
Good to know
- The tug sits in shallow water — perfect for snorkellers.
