Queen Juliana Bridge
The Queen Juliana Bridge is the high, four-lane road bridge that arcs over St. Anna Bay, tall enough for cruise ships to pass beneath — and the source of the best panorama in Willemstad.
While the Queen Emma Bridge floats at water level for pedestrians, the Juliana soars above for traffic. There is a viewpoint area near the top offering a sweeping vista of the painted city, the harbour and the sea — spectacular at sunset. It is best reached by car or taxi rather than on foot.
Good to know
- Go by car or taxi to the viewpoint for the panorama.
- Sunset offers the most dramatic light over the city.
- Not a pedestrian walk — it carries fast traffic.
