Floating Market

The Floating Market is a line of Venezuelan trading boats moored along the Sha Caprileskade canal in Punda, selling tropical fruit, vegetables and fish from their decks. 3 min from the hotel

For generations, traders have made the short crossing from Venezuela to sell mangoes, papayas, plantains and the morning's catch directly from their boats. It is busiest and freshest in the morning. A few minutes' walk from the hotel, it is a vivid, working slice of everyday Punda — go early, bring a camera and buy a piece of fruit to support the vendors.
